Will ABA help with gestalt language processing?

My daughter is a gestalt language processor and right now I can only do one therapy because of financial constraints. Is ABA helpful for GLPs ? She also has a hard time in social settings and playing with other children.

Sorry I don’t have an answer but I would love to know others opinion as my son is also a gestalt processor

A speech therapist / speech pathologist who is child led & or play based ! 🫶🏼🫂 Speech therapist & slp have the best grasp on how to connect the dots with gestalt processors & bridging the gap towards developmental & social expectations, thru play & non exhaustive methods of communication!

ABA will help with the social skills, but a speech therapist is your best bet when it comes to Gestalt language processing. My eldest son's speech therapists (both at school and private) have recognized he is a Gestalt language processor. We are working on increasing his script repertoire to help him build language.

I’m not familiar with that particular thing but just something to think about ABA is more often and also one on one. My son was in speech therapy for over a year but didn’t start speaking until he started going to ABA. If you’re in the US and if kiddo is under the age of 3 I would look into ECI services it’s much much more affordable than private places (I think we pay like $14/ month for my son to get ST and OT) every week and they go to his ABA so then the therapists get direction on how to do certain things from the ST and OT. It’s made a huge difference being able to have all of his services in one place and everyone communicating well and on the same page
