My little one is now 8 weeks and is the exact same. Ive been saying this whole time its like mucus in his throat as he was a c-section baby but he shouldnt still have it, he sounds like the post above also with the squeaking when he feeds! Ive asked midwives and health visitors and they all say its just newborns making noise which i didnt believe. The HV said it could be congueled milk at the back of his throat but to not worry about it. Im glad i came across this post now though as a FTM i listened to them and just left it but it sounds like its something. Shame no one is listening or doing anything about it mind due but im so glad i came across this post x
Hey girls thanks for replying. My boy tugs in neck and ribs when breathing. Do yours? Xx
@Becca as in he's sucking underneath his ribs? If that's the case I would take him to a&e that means he is struggling to breath
We are at the hospital now xx
@Willow were you breast or form feeding? Xx
@Becca formula feeding, I hope ur lil guy is doing OK x
Mine was a c section baby as well and was dead mucusy n squeaked when he breathed or had a bottle for ages afterwards. Sounds like he constantly had a ball of phlegm stuck in his throat these was for weeks after n no one would help me he sounded wheezy but doctors said it wasn't in his chest it was in his throat. Turns out it was a combination of milk allergy and silent reflux. I also got some saline solution for his nose n used that a couple times which seemed to help. Getting him put on infant gaviscon was what helped him the most, now he just sounds like a normal baby.
