Fellow boy mummas!!

I'm looking into starting a kids clothing line for boys and I am wanting to find out what fellow mummas struggle to find for our little boys. (I find the boys areas in shops are so much smaller then girls)

Less prints, or less outrageous prints. I don't mind the stuff with like the little pockets on the tees and a print on that but not plastered all over the shirt. Bigger colour range, nicer yellows and greens, greys, etc In saying that, I like shorts with prints haha, but more the board short material so that's probably why haha Haven't tried pants (other than leggings and trackies with my 18 month old yet (now it's summer though that's not necessarily something we'd wear anyways) but I like printed leggings (we get a bunch second hand and they're all the Big W or Best and Less brands) and can match them with plain tees or vice versa, plain leggings with printed tees). We also really like the Bonds stretchies leggings. Cardigans are adorable on smaller kids too and not many places sell them for boys. Or not the style you want. And I love plain or printed jumpers. When I say I like prints, it's the small repeated prints vs big singular prints, does that make sense?

Colour. Bright prints that aren't tacky. Nice outfits for events (like Christmas day) that are as sweet as the stuff you can find for little girls. Beige is easy to find but it's dull!

Once they outgrow size 2, all the cute neutral clothes are no longer available. It's all spider man, cars, dinosaurs etc. I just want to get 2 piece sets that are cute stipes, neutral colours or pastel colours. Not super bright with animation 🤣

Exciting for you! I essentially want Bobo Chooses or Animal Observatory clothes but cheaper haha. I end up buying 80% from Zara and then a few nice pieces from By Billie, bbobbie, Sonny or somewhere similar. Good luck!

I find it hard to find good/special clothes for my son. It was ok till he was around a size 2 then all of a sudden there is nothing. I notice it more now that I also have a girl and can get cute outfits from everywhere. My son is very tall and well built which only makes it worse. He is almost 3 and wears a size 4. The only place I seem to be able to find decent clothes that are well priced and sized appropriately is big w. This year for Christmas I wanted a nice pair of red shorts which I didn’t think was too much to ask but I can’t find a pair anywhere. It would be great to have more on the market šŸ™‚

@Monique I think pyjamas with characters is important! They need a little tacky in their lives. My best mate and I got NO tacky as a kid and now we are the tackiest adults ever. Don't make our parents mistakes. Let your kids have a little tacky.

Sun hats for boys (babies) that are not blue.. and not with busy prints. Smth that would go with different outfits

More country stuff please!!! I’m sick of dinosaurs and crocodiles šŸ™ƒ been dying to get my boy matching outfits (shirt and shorts) that are country looking. I can never find a nice outfit that isn’t covered in the typical boy stuff and it’s driving me crazy

Any plainer clothes! I struggle to find those such as t shirts pjamas…..

Lightweight, but long sleeve shirts and pants for sun protection. Cotton, linen, hemp.

@Mary perfect thank you for your time to respond šŸ˜

Thank you all thay was really helpful ā˜ŗļø

I love crackd soda range. I think they’re adorable for little boys although a bit pricey. Anywhere else is a struggle and it’s either stupidly small range of options, just Dino/cars/trucks etc kinda prints or just plain black/white. I think some cute plain options would be really nice
