Thanks @Kylee I just converted and it’s about 24lbs so maybe I’ll be similar to you by the time 37 weeks come around!
Yeah I delivered at 36w1d so that sounds about right!
I think my twin consultant said they'd expect no more than a 10kg weight gain. When I had my section at 37 weeks I think I was almost exactly 10kg heavier than pre pregnancy. Since having them and breastfeeding I'm back below my pre pregnancy weight and it's still going at 6 months pp :/
32w and gained 26lbs (11.8kg) everything’s well and on track 😊
Thanks everyone maybe I should try and curb the cakes 😂
@Incognito I think you're fine (although good to eat healthily of course!) when she told me that I had already put on 9 kg and still had about 10 weeks to go so I thought I'd end up really heavy but there came a point when the babies kept growing and I lost some weight (maybe muscle as I had PGP so couldn't do a lot towards the end :/) so I ended up being around the 10kg mark. I think as long as you're eating healthily and everything is looking good with the pregnancy, I wouldn't worry about it. You'll be back to your normal size in no time once running after them 🥹
I started my pregnancy at 56kg and ended at 81kg when they were 33weeks .By a week later I was back down to 60kg and a further two weeks I was 55kg. Now a year on I am 52kg and staying the same now. It’s mainly going to be fluid retention and baby. You need the additional fat layers too because they will be literally sucked out after baby’s born by breastfeeding and sheer effort of taking care of multiples. Mine were good birthweight too so at least 5.5 was gone instantly in them, plus their placentas, fluid, my disgusting legs! Pretty sure these days my boobs count for half my weight breastfeeding three toddlers!
This is so American of me but I have no idea how much kilograms are but I gained almost 40lbs in my pregnancy 😅 which was soooo cool to see cause I've never been able to gain weight before. I was a solid 97lbs for years, the month before I got pregnant I had gained 10lbs and then was able to keep gaining throughout my pregnancy it was awesome!! I worked in OB and they really don't look for any "averages" in weight gain anymore because every person and every single pregnancy is soooo different. Some gain a bunch like my sister gained 70-80lbs with a singleton and then there's some that lose weight because they're so sick, it just is what it is. All that matters is that you're eating and drinking enough for the 3 of you 🩷
