Bloody life saver when I’m cooking my son food and he’s upset
Drives me NUTS But life saver when I need 20 mins.. She also now loves stick man on bbc iPlayer which is veryyy sweet and I enjoy a lot more ha
Love Ms Rachel, my little one is allowed it from time to time. Only thing she's allowed to watch, I avoid cartoons. Ms Rachel is legit, not some random influencer. She's got a master's degree in early childhood education, she legitimately has preschool teaching experience for many years. She has another master's degree in music education which she uses as part of her teaching and she uses proper science / evidence backed methods supported my linguistics professors. My daughter watches her slowly pronounce words and copies it so well. She also brushed her teeth because of her toothbrush song and has learned sign language. She points now and understands "all done". We don't overuse Ms Rachel, but if I need to get shit done, she's the real deal.
My daughter loves ms rachel! She doesn’t watch her everyday but she instantly smiles. To keep me sane when she watches tv I switch between simple songs and ms rachel so one day ms rachel next time simple songs🤣 I bought ma rachel doll and boombox for christmas. She loves boombox so much!!
I avoid anything american as i have seen too many children speaking with american accents when theyre not american (15 year nursery manager)
@Amy jeez, kids that develop American accents must have it switched on all day, and must have parents that expose them to sustained and significant amounts of TV and don't talk to them much directly. I grew up watching American TV and movies myself, (yes even as a toddler) and I assure you I have an English accent. My daughter is not going to develop an American accent from watching 20 mins of Ms Rachel here and there 🤣
@Sarah same! She irritates me! Will deffo look at Miss Apple tomorrow 😅
@Angharad miss Apple is fab! Not as many episodes but she’s getting there and my little girl loves her!
My daughter loves her 🩷
Been stuck with her the past 4 years 😂 she can get annoying her newer ones are actually good I dance around the house to the beat boxers haha.
My boy loves her she's a life saver as I can actually get stuff done. X
@Annem my nephew was only allowed 30 mins screen time a day and still managed to pick up an American accent from somewhere 😂
@Jenna kids are funny! My brother's 2 year old is currently obsessed with talking like a cat. 🤣 I still don't think you can directly correlate exposure to different accents, or Ms Rachel (especially if screen time is not prolonged) to longer term impact. My parents had an Indian accent talking to me whilst being raised. My accent is English. My daughters nursery teachers have all sorts of different accents, especially as we are in London. One teacher is Spanish, another is Nigerian. At no point do I think she will come home with a Nigerian accent. If anything, kids will pick up American dialect words which admittedly is a bit annoying! We don't tend to say "that's neat!" or pronounce things their way all the time, but if anything - if your child does that, it can easily be a teachable moment and open up a conversation with them about all the different languages around the world. Imagine banning all American TV for fear of picking up an accent. 😅
We had ms apple on today for 15 mins and my daughter’s face lit up! She is much less annoying than Ms Rachel!

We love Miss Rachel! To people worrying about their child developing an American accent, my husband is Canadian and my son definitely does not have a North American accent 🙄
Can’t stand her and my little one won’t be watching her, coco melon or peppa pig 😂 but I’m trying to be a screen less mum! So she only gets the odd Disney Film/song videos, My LO was brought her book for her birthday and the book is just as annoying as her videos so I’m not sold 😂
Personally I couldn’t stand her 🤣 so we switched to Miss Apple who is the UK version
