@Abi I’m st ives way lovely, I know I’m on the nhs waiting list but it’s just irritating when your entitled to free dental work but aren’t on nhs yet. 🙈 then you need to spend an arm and a leg on private x
Yep, I'm in penzance and my friends have been waiting for years, in fact one of them youngest is starting school soon, and she's been waiting since she was pregnant...
I actually thought I was on an NHS dentist because my check ups were only £35 but it turns out I wasn't 🥲 last I checked, the nearest place taking NHS patients was in Torquay... It's so dire down here. I'm with "my dentist" in Falmouth and wouldn't recommend them tbh. The only pro is that they're cheap! Good luck, I'm sorry I couldn't be more helpful.
@Abi I’ve just managed to get my 3 year old in to a dentist but they said before I’d even asked they’re only taking on children. If I had to go private would I have to pay do you know or would I get to free as I’m entitled or wouldn’t it work like that? I don’t think it works like does it? Sorry I’m so bad at this obviously because I’ve not been in so long.
@Alice ahh that’s good that you are with someone though! I’d stick with it to be honest even if they’re not the best. That’s ok aha I’m genuinely just wondering what to do in this situation, just irritating when you have work to do but could get that free treatment. I went to st mawes when I had emergency dentist and they told me to fill a form in and I didn’t have to pay then as I was on universal credit at the time…
You'd have to pay if you were private, I've been private for 15 years (i go 4x a year) and never been able to have "free" visits when I was entitled last year when LO was young. It's only for NHS contracts. I managed to grt my LO in my dentist as a NHS child but it's super rare now!
@Abi it’s pricey!😅
You need to get a dentist first, NHS ones are impossible down here... I've been private for about 15 years and even private clinics have closed their books to new patients. Not sure where in Cornwall.you are?
