Restraining order

Has anyone else gotten an emergency restraining order? If so, did he have to go to court after it expired or does it expire on its own?

Emergency protective orders are usually good for 3 to 7 days. If the restrained party is arrested and charged, then the court can issue a criminal protective order. An epo allows the victim time to seek a more permanent restraining order. The epo will expire on the date listed on the order. You can go through the court for a temporary restraining order normally is good for around 21 days. Remember that restraining orders need to be served in order for it to be legally enforceable.
