“Turn off the television “ 😁
And what is the message I missed?
Is the message that the Super Bowl is a distraction? Or more
his last song, was a distrack to drake, literally calling him a pedafile and he smirked as soon as he said” ay,drake” and referenced suing which drake is currently trying to sue kendricks records company. Also SLJ mentioned him being “ too ghetto” and “not playing the game”. Serena was also out there crib walking which she faced a ton of criticism for. Deff had some messages for black activism .

Believe 85% of the theories you’re hearing because every single part was a message. The people, the set up, the song choices, ALL of it. I haven’t seen a theory yet that isn’t accurate. If anything there are some that don’t dive deep enough into all he was saying. The revolution is about to be televised - you picked the right time but the wrong guy. The ENTIRE performance was full of messages and it was about way more than just Drake.
@Laurel Samuel L Jackson also kidnapped MLK Sr. along with other university board members and only became an actor after the FBI threatened to kill him. So added aspect of government corruption
@Daija Oh I hadn’t heard that! That adds a whole other layer
They’re not theories. Kendrick has always made music strategically. I think if you actually understand the deep roots of American history it would make sense, but if you’re oblivious to it then yeah you would probably think they’re theories. “Distraction” everything is a distraction to what’s really going on in the world. But Kendrick definitely made sure we understood the assignment.
Ofcourse it is “40 acres and a mule this is bigger than the music” and he had Uncle Sam and more importantly Uncle Sam was played by Samuel L. Jackson who was an usher at MLKs funeral and is big into activism
