If it is an allergy, it will get tricky. I found this free of elastane. https://eczemaclothing.com/collections/kids-underwear?gad_source=1&gclid=CjwKCAiAiOa9BhBqEiwABCdG80P5R0AIL5Yumne5PCj4nueYX0z2UIJY7TzE_AUoBqJ9FvciI0CPsBoC-lAQAvD_BwE
@𝔾𝕚𝕤𝕖𝕝𝕝𝕖 I will ask at the GP but I bet that won’t be quick! I’m gonna ask my mil if she can think of a way to stitch something over the band. These are the ones we have: https://www.marksandspencer.com/7pk-cotton-rich-animal-knickers-2-12-yrs-/p/clp60700419 Their other clothes have never been an issue!
Did she also get a rash on her legs? If not, it could be something else. While you figure it out you can try tucking a shirt under the waistband.
@𝔾𝕚𝕤𝕖𝕝𝕝𝕖 she got it in a line across her back and hips, though weirdly not on her front? So I’m a bit confused 😅 Tucking into the shirt is a good temp fix, thank you!! I didn’t think if that, but I folded the waistband over itself so it wasn’t touching her skin and the rash went away. We aren’t at the stage yet where we are wearing pants all the time so hopefully I can figure this out by the time we do 😩😩
A dermatologist would be able to do a patch test to find out. I am not sure if your GP would give a referal for that. Can I see a photo of the waistband? Maybe you could find some that have the elastic covered in cotton.
