Pre labour glow up - Lash extensions

I’ve had lash extensions before a few times like before an event or holiday and they make me feel nice about myself. I know with a newborn I won’t have as much time for makeup, I am self conscious about my appearance so would like to do something to make myself feel better. Only thing is, how do you ladies maintain the lashes? I worry that I’ll get it done and then have no time for infills or find it impossible to get done with a baby, I’m also planning to breastfeed. I could get a lash lift which I suppose is less maintenance but much prefer the look of extensions

I don’t actually know if we’re meant to whilst prego but I’d defo go for an LVL/tint at this stage, no maintenance!

@Madeleine I think you can as long as the patch test is okay, thanks for sharing ur opinion I’m headed that way too x

Also- the main thing is that u cant lie on ur back for a long time but they can do each eye with u lying on ur side

Ooh I didn’t even think of the lying aspect but you’re so right!

I was told no lash lift as hormone changes during pregnancy could cause lashes to become frazzled, need to wait until 6 weeks PP. just went with tint instead

I’ve been getting lash extensions throughout my pregnancy, laying on my back is a little uncomfortable but I sort of lay twisted so my face is facing towards but my body is sort of to the side. I get them infilled every 2 weeks so I when she’s born I’ll be going a little longer than that before the first infill after she’s born but they’ll still be full enough to look okay I reckon! In covid I had to let them all naturally come out and it did take a while so you’ll be fine if leaving it like 3/4 weeks just get another full set at 4 weeks or something x

Honestly wouldn’t recommend, the up keep is too much. I had to stop getting them in my first pregnancy because I physically couldn’t lie there I nearly passed out at my last appointment😂 Have you thought about the ones you do yourself at home that last a week? Saves being uncomfy, having to find a baby sitter when baby is only 3 weeks old also saves money😂

I prefer a tint and lift cos the maintenance is a little less! Could this work for you?

I've been wearing tatti lashes & doing them myself ☺️

@Robyn oh really! I didn’t know this, thanks for sharing xx

@Natalya good idea about doing it urself

@Herbi yeahhh I’m heading this way but someone mentioned to wait 6 weeks pp cause could make lashes frazzled- did you find this &how often do you get them maintained?

@ED93 oh wow that’s really good you can do them yourself, I need to look these up and a tutorial! How do you maintain them?

@ED93 which ones do you buy? Just having a look at the site now

I’ve been getting my lashes done and just laying on my side in the chair :)

I was thinking to get my lashes done but I've never done it before. Im just worried I will feel irritated as it's my first time so idk 😶

The invisi lash kit, last for two weeks & so easy to do

I wouldn’t get any LVL/lash lift as they will drop and not stay up. You could get a tint but have a patch test first and it will look like you are wearing mascara

Oh really! No haven’t found that and they should patch test etc! Just with a lash serum really, I normally go longer than 6 weeks in between but you have to give it at least 6 weeks as a gap so it doesn’t damage them I think

@ED93 thanks sooooo much! I think I’m going to go for the ‘au natural’ invisi lashes! 😃😃😃

@Holly I have black lashes anyway and true you have a point about them dropping and not staying up x

I was planning on getting an LVL but I’m on the fence as I’ve seen a lot of comments similar to the ones above saying that they won’t do it/lying down is uncomfortable/they don’t last etc- I had extensions for a while about a year ago and they’re a huge upkeep but I’ve always had LVLs done a few times a year

@Amy-May I’ve been put off getting lvl now, wb trying the tatti lashes which are diy extensions, I saw a tutorial yesterday and it doesn’t seem too hard 🤔
