@Natasha she is a very tired baby usually so I'm not sure on that one lost weight it doesn't appear that way but she deffiently isn't eating as much
Those all sound like possible symptoms of type 1, it’s probs best to get it checked out if possible
@Laura should i prick her myself or just wait for the doctor to respond?
@Summer I'd say she is definitely showing signs of type 1. If you have a blood monitor to hand, defo check at home coz that way you can relay that info to the Dr
Yeah I agree with Natasha, I’d prick her if you can
@Laura i do have a monitor but I'm not sure which size needles I should get
@Laura or even what number to use i don't wanna use something too big and hurt her more than necessary
Where are you getting the needles from, it’s probs best for them to advise?
@Laura uh just walmart... in the diabetes section
I’d ask a pharmacist to advise, you likely going to need the smallest needles you can get on the lowest setting
Agree with Laura on this one...naturally I'd have to be the lowest setting to pierce baby's skin
@Natasha okay thank you do you know which lancet?
Gosh I'm based in the UK...I cannot think at the top of my head what my ones are. I've used microlet before, I'm sure mine are gluco rx ones. It usually doesn't matter on the lancet as when you put it into your stabber, the 1 setting on there is the lowest meaning it won't puncture the skin as deep as say a 5 setting
test her yourself asap or take her to the Dr to get checked asap! Either way, best to just get it done rather than worrying
Is she also super tired and looks like she has lost any weight? Usually if those signs are with the thirstiness, then it may be type 1
