Neighbors mean cat

Hey everyone! so I have a stray cat that has made my house his home, he isnt nice enough to let come in the house but he sleeps on my porch and I have given him food and a bed, but the neighbors cat from across the street comes over and trys beats the shit out of him, I had to trap him and take him to the vet for severe wounds. Is there anything I can do that will scare the other cat away so he wont want to come back? Iv yelled at him and thrown things at him, but nothing works.

If I were you I’d pick a room in my house and make it the cats safe space. Eventually over time he will learn to trust you

@kala I cant really pet him or touch him yet. I'm trying go build his trust but it is so hard or I would.

Do you have a dog? There was one mean ass cat in my neighborhood who attacked my cat once qhen she got out. So everytime he'd come in our yard I'd let my dog out. He chased that cat for nearly 3 blocks one time lol. That cat was so traumatized he never came back.

Cats Arent Usually safe outside. Why dont you contact puppykittynyc and they can take him to the shelter? They are a great organization who helps animals.

@Sehrish so i took him to the animal shelter and they just neutered him and gave him all his shots and let him go back at my house :0
