Yes! We used to do this 😊
@Megan Yeah, it’s like he tastes it and is like NOPE and spits it out
Depending on the age mix with yogurt
I don’t see why not, but you won’t know how much they’ve had if they don’t drink the whole bottle
We always find yoghurt the best disguise… but could do a bit of milk
Aww bless him! Definitely try mixing it then x
I was in the same position with my daughter when she was smaller. She had a sensitive gag reflex and the texture of calpol set her off so badly. I never found anything that worked other than distraction while giving tiny amounts with the syringe and just time. As she got bigger it’s been better but still happens when she’s really snotty.
Thanks guys! He’s still very young so can’t have any purée or solids yet, he had his jabs recently and is all over the place bless him. I put some in his milk in the end. I may not know how much he’s had of course but hopefully even the little bit he may of had will help him xx
@Lottie oh no bless her😭it’s awful seeing them unwell and not even being able to give them medicine to make them feel slightly better cos they don’t like it ;((( x
@Alicia aaah shit i put it in his milk! Ofc i dont know how much he’s had but i didnt put over the recommended dose and i won’t be giving him anymore tonight just to be sure! might get one of these ordered to try! thank you xx
I do think as long as you stick to the dosage of no more for another 4-6 hours it’ll be fine it’s just in case they didnt end up taking enough for it to help them xx
@Alicia oh yeah i’d never give any earlier just incase! not taking that risk xx
I put it in milk but make 2 bottles, one small one with the calpol mixed in that he has first and then the second one bigger which he doesn't finish. That way I know he's had the full dose.
Have you tried it through a bottle teat instead of the syringe? 🙂
