@Rocio hes so do cranky and it ruins the plans of the day 😭😭 but I dont know if its worth losing my mind over
I vowed to never force my baby to sleep if she wasn’t tired and it worked out for us. I’d offer the nap and try for like 15 minutes max and if he doesn’t take the nap, then bail!
@Lauren 💫 that's a good idea I tried for 2 hours today and finally gave up
I think you just have to go with the baby. Mine stopped at 10 months, and it was definitely definitive. Nothing would have resulted in sleep 😅
Mine was 10 months when I said it's enough and only started putting her to nap once. Every sleep was a fight until then, I would honestly spend hours daily to put her to sleep. Since we started having only 1 nap a day she is generally a lot easier to put to sleep and would nap for a lot longer like 2-3 hours
It takes my baby a whole hour to nap (with changes in between) and she usually does but after the hour she doesn’t nap I stop trying
My son went to one nap a day around 10 months 🙃 he does go to bed at 7:30 and sleep until about 7:30 or 8:30 though
This makes me feel so much better... my LO has been difficult to get to nap for ages and it stressed me out for so long... I also try for up to an hour to let LO fall asleep by herself then call it a day. If my plans mean I need her to nap before we are out for several hours for example, I try a contact nap but if that doesn't work either I just give up. At home it's more commonly the second nap she doesn't want, which can sometimes result in a wake window as long as 8hrs before bed... but she's fine with it and sleeps well at night so 🤷♀️ Now she has started nursery she also has only been having 1 afternoon nap a day, but there's nothing I can do about that so I don't worry too much! It hasn't affected night sleep so I'm just rolling with it.
We went through the same thing at 12 months. We just skipped the second nap. He was really cranky but we just powered through. After about 4-5 days he went back to two naps 😂
