Babysitting/Nannying/Childcare

Hello! šŸ¤ I am desperate for child care. I don’t qualify for any government assistance despite being a 4 person family on a single income, and I can’t afford a daycare. What are other moms in this situation doing? I don’t have any family here either and my friends work so they can’t help either. I’ve heard of nanny sharing but don’t know much about it. Any ideas?! šŸ’” I truly appreciate any advice you can give, as I feel very stuck. Thank you šŸ™šŸ¼

Hey im in Hollywood and willing to help for free if i can. Im not driving atm but i can watch the kids and will be driving sokn and then can help with rides

You ever heard of ELC ? ( early learning coalition.) they help you pay for daycare.

How old are your kids? I have a 1.5 and a 3.5 who is in school, and I’ve been keeping an eye out for some one compatible for a trade. I’m in Victoria Park

@Lori Omg 🄺. You’re the sweetest. I would have to pay you something, my conscience would eat me alive if I didn’t compensate you in some way shape or form! We can work something out! Maybe I can pay you what I can afford (assuming you find it fair) and then watch your kids for free when needed to kinda supplement that? Something! But I don’t want you to feel like I’m taking advantage, I’m just desperate lol. I have a car and live in fort laud so I could drop them to you. Would you want to exchange numbers and meet up at a park or coffee or something? I’m a teacher so I have the week off for spring break thankfully so I’m pretty open for the week šŸ¤šŸ™šŸ¼

@Rebeca yes I applied and I got denied. Somehow I make ā€œtoo muchā€. But I really don’t. I make a teacher salary and have two kids. They also said the baby is too young for any help which is bizarre bc I’ve worked in daycares my whole life during summers when I’m off from teaching and they all have nurseries. I guess ELC only helps a certain age and up. Either way, they denied me šŸ˜”. I make juuuuustttttt over the eligible amount. So just enough to not afford childcare and also not qualify for help. A pretty shitty spot to be. Seems like there’s no help for the middle class these days

@Lauryn aww those are such fun ages. I have a 7/8 month old and a 2 year old. I know everyone brags about their own kids but genuinely they are very calm and easy kids. But I am so open to anything right now so I would love to talk further and see what options we have!

@Hope absolutely!! Id love to help. I sent you a message
