Try to find out the root cause of the eczema
I suffer with eczema and have done since being a baby, I use a soap substitute I got from the gp and I’m currently using epimax cream that’s working really well at the moment as it’s really thick and really hydrates the skin. I tend to put extra on and leave the excess on to gradually just seep into the skin.
I will looking for a help at homeopathy, I was change from conventional medicine and recall healing this you can try as well. Holistic medicine
Aveeno can trigger eczema, everyone thinks its great but it's really not, eczema is trial and error I'm afraid. Double base or epaderm are the best ones for me

I used to use aveeno. But I found out it has almond oil (my son isn’t allergic but my husband is) and wondered if this could be a trigger still. But agree with what someone says above it’s looking for the trigger. At one point my son has terrible eczema his arms and legs were covered. After talking to my MIL when my husband had it when he was little milk was a trigger. And my little boy loves milk and had been on it since he was 1. But at around age 2 I changed him to oat milk and it’s been gone since! He still eats cheese and yogurt but I’m. It sure if it was the high amounts. So it’s worth looking at diet, citric fruit can also often be another trigger.
As a person with eczema it can take a while to find the right emollient, you could ask the Dr for another brand? I’ve been using Aproderm on my son and it’s working really well, but we didn’t get on with cetraban. I’ve used a weeks worth of the steroid to blast the eczema on his face and then moved on to a baby balm. You can get these on the internet and i’d really recommend, lots on there for different budgets. Our problem areas are back and face but got it under control at the moment but we still apply the emollient every day to keep his skin from drying, i notice the difference if i don’t. The balm i’m using is called Natures divine but i’ve heard the Kokoso one is really good 👍
