I remember when my girl did this, the maternal health nurse said just to guide your little ones head to the other side when you can so vins get use to being on both. Or also if you play on that side to try get him to look at you ect. Xx

My doctor recommended stretches to help loosen everything up. It helped my baby immensely.

Yeah,my son does. They said it’s Torticolis and we’re going to be doing pt for it

Yes, my baby favored turning her head to the right and was developing a flat spot. I took her to the chiropractor and they fixed it.

I didn’t notice my baby favoring one side until the pediatrician asked about it. I realized that I mostly held her in my left arm, even while feeding, and that’s what caused it. Try switching sides if that’s the case for you too.

My son also did this, and we determined it was Torticolis, which is a tightness in the neck muscle cause by position in the womb. He started PT when he was about 3 months (we did exercises/stretches with him at every diaper change) and he ended up getting a helmet at about 5 months old because his soft spot was closing, and they wanted to correct his flat spot before that happened. Definitely something to talk to your ped about and intervene with PT exercises as soon as possible.

Yes my baby favors looking to the left we have an appointment with early intervention soon to get it assessed

Yes, it’s so common based on their position in utero- we started seeing a pediatric physical therapist who gave us arm & hip stretches, which had an immediate positive effect on his neck/head turning. Tension in their body directly impacts their head & neck position, so having your little one evaluated is a great first step!

Mine did. She was diagnosed with torticollis (always having your head turned to one side) and is in PT now and it’s going well

What he recommended was switching sides during feeds (alternating) and exercises plus lots of tummy time to strengthen head/neck stability and exercises—hope this helps
