It’s interesting what defines a miracle, many people mistake for divine providence. CS Lewis wrote about it in his book called Miracles, that you have to look to something that is supernatural and is not otherwise possible in the natural world. That is what a miracle truly is. It cannot be reproduced by natural human means. Anything else is divine providence and while that doesn’t take away from the glory or power of God, they are different and when discussing them with people who are not believers, it’s important to know the distinction. Miracle: instantaneous complete healing. Someone who is lame, can immediately walk upon command. Raising someone from the dead. Speaking in a language you’ve never known. Providence: you are destitute and in need of certain things to survive and a stranger comes up to you at just the right moment happens to give you those exact things you needed because they felt lead to it by the holy spirit.

I have not personally witnessed or experienced a miracle, but many many many times over have I seen divine providence.
