Low lying placenta

Has anyone else been told they have a low lying placenta? I have to go back at 32 weeks to check if it’s moved up at all. Everything I read online is terrifying 😬

Yep also been told I've got a low lying placenta. Was a bit terrified but midwife reassured me it's fine and that with most women it moves when the uterus gets bigger. I have a huge fear of having a c section 🫣

@Michalina ahh okay that’s reassuring, I’m having a C-section anyway but was reading about placenta abruption and heavy bleeding

@Anna yeah google is terrible for it! I think if it were placenta previa then it's something to worry about but not low laying. I'm high risk pregnancy due to ha having concealed placental abruption in the past and midwife/consultant said there's nothing to worry about with the low lying placenta and that they'll check it at 32 weeks. They pretty much just said if it's not moved by then, then vaginal birth won't be possible for me and to keep an eye out for any bleeding. The only thing I am avoiding is intercourse and heavy lifting xx
