Yayyyy! Thats sitting, the more she does it the more she’ll sit up more straight but she’s defs at the beginning stage of sitting unassisted. Don’t worry about the rolling, my girl rolled like 5 times and sacked it off to sit instead! They are learning so much so fast that it’s not uncommon for babies to skip milestones to focus on others! You can keep practicing that rolling though but don’t overthink it too much!
Yes it's called tripod sitting they do this before they learn to sit up straight and unassisted. My baby was doing this for about a month before he sat independently x
Definitely! 💪🏻 Our boy also exchanged rolling for sitting and now refuses tummy time as he knows sitting it way easier and he can see everything!
My little girl did exactly this then literally within about 2 weeks she was as sitting upright! She’s also only just started rolling but doesn’t do it very often as she can’t get herself back and she’s not a fan of tummy time! Every baby is different and they all do things at different times, my friends little boy has been rolling since about 4 months and he’s the same age as my little girl!
My girl has been doing this for a while now, think the first time she did it was before Feb half term! She’s only marginally better now! But she can roll though, but hates being on her front!
Looks like sitting to me. She'll get more and more stable and more and more upright as she practices. No rush!
