Mom support

I’m now 22 weeks pregnant, I’ve known my son has had Tri 21 since 13 week I believe thought a NIPT then following getting an Amniocentesis done due to my disbelief and not understanding. My son so far only shows one soft marker (slight thickening of neck) The fear of not knowing what life will look like and not having the support from family.(them believing I can’t handle it and it will ruin my life I should just terminate) I finally feel that I’m going to follow my heart, just enjoy baby boy and try my best to find support in other ways with woman who can understand.

I'm 34 weeks my baby girl has tri 21 . After I had my first scan and I had a cvs to confirm . It was a hard decision. The baby has had heart echos in London and hasn't shown anything . My only issue at the moment is the blood flow from. The placenta to the baby. I'm going to be induced at 37 weeks. I'm here if u want a chat xx

Thanks for the reply ☺️ You’re super close to delivering date. That’s super exciting! Are they taking baby girl at 37 weeks due to blood flow concerns?

Yeah and my age

I'm excited and scared at the same time x

My son is 18 months and I also found out around 12-13 weeks of pregnancy through the NIPT. Let me tell you, this beautiful blessing of yours will NOT ruin your life. Your baby will bring you so much joy and love! I completely understand the fear of the unknown. My son was born with a heart defect that required surgery at 4 months old. Leading up to that surgery was hard. Not knowing what would happen was really difficult. He did great though! He healed quickly and is doing so good now. He knows about 10 signs and says 3 or 4 words, so he is on the same level of communication as a typical child. He's very smart and curious. There are a lot of misconceptions out there about what DS really looks like. You and your baby are beautiful and strong and oh so loved!

@Ashley that's amazing thank u so much for this. Was he born earlier or when he should be .

@Ashley yes thank you so much for that!! That is amazing and gives me so much hope about everything.Your right it so much misconception is one of the reasons I choose to reach out to mother with such beautiful stories to help me thru my journey.

@Claire he was full term! I was induced at 38 weeks because I had high blood pressure. He was in the NICU for a week just to be observed because of his heart, but he never needed any oxygen like they thought he might. He took to a bottle right away too. His mouth was a little too small for nursing when he was first born, but he did well with a dr Browns bottle. He was born 6 lbs 2 oz.
