Air bubbles in Mam Bottles

I’ve recently moved my 10 week old daughter to Mam bottles from Lansinoh as her latch isn’t very good, but I have noticed that every so often there are loads of air bubbles that form in the teat, almost like she’s blowing bubbles back in when she has a rest. Is this normal or am I doing something wrong? It’s concerning me that she’s going to suffer with even more wind if she’s drinking in lots of air bubbles 😭

It's the same for us! x

I found this when I had MAM bottles. I changed from shaking them to swirling the formula to mix and that stopped it for me. Xx

@Kelly I’ve only ever swirled them so not sure why it’s happening 😭 I think it must still be an issue with her latch 🤦🏻‍♀️

I’ve used mam since buba was born and I found the cooler the boiled kettle was the less bubbles there were - if I used a fresh boiled kettle it’ll bubble up loads xx

We would find this sometimes but would just make the bottle up and let it sit on the side for a minute to settle as it seemed it was the swirling/shaking motion that made bubbles

You can push the teat down to release the air in the bottle. The trapped air will escape through the hole which will help

This is what I mean 😫

@Amy I think this is the purpose of them, so when they gulp it releases air into the bottle instead of them gulping the air down - I ain’t 100% sure though 😭 xx
