Hey mummas, sorry this isn’t mum related! I currently live in Bognor Regis and to be honest, it’s getting so bad I don’t want to bring my kids up here. We’re looking to buy a house towards the end of the year, and would love to stay in West Sussex (family etc) but we need out of Bognor. We’ve currently got some sort of awful crime reported each day here… arson, murder, shop windows being smashed in the night etc. In the past two weeks we’ve had a drunk fall into our pushchair in town twice and hurt our little girl (during the day). I know crime is rife everywhere, but it just seems to be getting ridiculous. Does anyone live or know of any areas they’d recommend? Ideally we’d love to live a little village somewhere. Having great transport links isn’t a huge issue as we both drive and can’t remember the last time we used buses/trains. Our careers also have the added benefit that we can move anywhere and not have to look for a new job. We have family situated in Chichester and London, so we’re very open to areas! I just want to be able to know I can comfortably go out for a walk with my babies and not feel like I’m looking over my shoulder constantly 🥺 If you live in a cute little village, hit me with where is good to look! ❤️

I live in central Chichester but my mum lives in Emsworth so I drive through Nutbourne, Chesham, Southbourne etc to get to her and always think they look such nice places to live! Lavant also has some lovely houses xx

We are trying to move to Horsham, it looks like very family friendly with good schools etc but also the villages around it look very nice. I discovered a service called locrating that gives you the rate of each area by neighbourhood. I use it like everyday for every house I like to make sure we will be moving to a good neighbourhood. We currently live in a neighbourhood in Surrey rated bottom 37% so I totally understand your concern and wanting to raise your family elsewhere

I live in Rustington, have done for almost 5 years and we love it. There’s a lovely little town and the beach is a short walk xx

It’s a shame really, I’m originally from south west London and genuinely starting to feel safer when I’m up there visiting family than I am in Bognor now 🥺 I didn’t think of Horsham, it’s a great location and still close enough to what you’ll need but not too in the sticks!

Still technically Bognor but we live in Rose Green & it's really lovely here. Everyone is so friendly & the schools are the best in the area so hoping to get my little ones in there. It's also not too far from chichester so we tend to go there instead of bognor town. Hope you find somewhere nice for your family!

Just moved to Southborne from central chi and it’s sooo cute!
