I was lucky to find a salon that always had the doors and windows open to the point it didn’t smell like a nail shop at all but when I wanted to go to my regular spot pre baby I’d have her watched
@Kellie this sounds like such a great idea and plan honestly. But my mom is my only help at the moment unfortunately
Replace partner w mum in that scenario. Ask her to come window shopping for a day and she pushes baby around for an hour and then you’ll join her when you finish
@Macdalia my regular salon does this but only in the summer time when its really hot outside 😩 I have yet to find one that has proper ventilation
I’m a single mom w no help from anyone so this is how I did it lol. First off, two separate apportionments for nails and toes. I was cool w my salon so I’d also ask how busy they’d be and if they could leave the door open for me. Then I used to try my hardest to time it so my appointment was right at nap time. I’d leave my house early and drive until he fell asleep in the car. Do my best to transfer car seat into stroller without waking. Go in for my appointment and put the cover over the car seat to keep any acrylic dust from him. Pray he sleeps the whole time. Repeat for pedi day. It eventually became too hard and I stopped going. I’ve only had one pedi in a year now. Oh to have a village. Or even a single helpful person 🥲
The times I had gone I always took my child with me but most of the shops I went to also had there kids in there
I book on the weekends and either leave baby at home w him or he comes with and we make a day of it, do some window shopping have brunch, spend the whole day out, and he pushes the pram around while I go do my facial/nails/massage whatever I’m doing. Or sometimes I’ll have brunch w a friend and leave baby at home or he comes w but he’s w baby and we might meet up later.
