Colours

Anyone else's baby seem to have an aversion to learning colours? She's a smart cookie. Remembers random bits of info like why I went to the doctor days ago. Knows lots of words, animals, body parts, etc BUT does not seem to want to learn colours (no matter how fun or functionsl I try to make it)...

Mine definitely isn’t making it a priority. He knows blue and purple, but I’ll hold up something orange and ask what color and he goes “blue!!!” Haha. He very recently (last two days) started adding a couple more colors in (yellow and red) but is inconsistent in naming them. I was worried he was color blind for a while but he’s proven to me that he can differentiate colors (he has a matching toy that he started matching the colors perfectly a couple weeks ago). He’s just not too interested in actually learning them. Like yours, knows plenty of other stuff. Can tell me what letter comes next for nearly the whole alphabet. Knows almost every animal in every book and many of his shapes. Can name all his body parts. I’m sure colors will come with time 🤷🏻‍♀️

i always repeat colors and she doesn't like to say them. i think she is just starting to say red.

Purple is the only we know for sure. We’re trying, she’s just learning!

We just know pink 🤷‍♀️ we're going through a yes or no phase right now. She'll say some other random words but only yeah or no. It's adorable, don't get me wrong, but in the same regard my husband is a little concerned she lost all the words she knew before lol

mine knows all the colors but can’t assign the names to the actual colors so I think we just gotta wait lmao

My baby is 22 months and knows most of her colors. I think she just seems to love learning things.
