So this is what I use for playdough that we can bake in the oven and it’s always worked! 1 cup all-purpose flour 1/4 cup salt 1 tablespoon vegetable oil 1/2 cup hot water (add more if needed) Food coloring (optional) Mix dry ingredients:
In a bowl, combine the flour and salt. Add wet ingredients:
Mix in the oil and hot water. If you’re using food coloring, add it to the water first before pouring in. Stir and knead:
Stir until it starts coming together, then knead on a clean surface for about 5 minutes, until smooth and doughy. Add more flour if it’s sticky, or more water if it’s crumbly. Play and store:
Once it’s cool, play away! Store in an airtight container for up to a week (longer if refrigerated).

I’d say reduce oil and tartar to one of each. All in a bowl. Microwave for two minutes. Stir. Repeat then use hands to roll it out x
