Ring Resizing

Those who got rings resized after pregnancy how long did you wait before getting it done? I haven't been able to wear my wedding and engagement rings since my second trimester due to my fingers swelling. Probably not helped by flying in my first trimester. My LO is now nearly 10 week old and I'm no closer to getting them past my knuckle. I don't know weather to wait it out a little bit longer or just go get it done. I'm also not sure where I could go to get them done if anyone could give any suggestions that would be appreciated. My engagement ring is from H Samuel's and the wedding band from Etsy incase that makes a difference.

My youngest son is almost 2.5 and I had my ring resized a month or so ago. I got fed up of waiting for my fingers to go back down so just did it. I went to a local reputable jeweller.

I am going to do it at 4 months postpartum as i want to wear it at 6 months for weddings

I got mine done by my jeweller at 3m pp but if I were you with 2 separate shops, I’d go to the jewellery quarter in Birmingham and get them professionally resized there together

Haven’t had mine done, but I used to work at Samuels and the advice we gave was to get it altered as little as possible to avoid warping! So I would say, if you are planning on another baby, maybe wear on a smaller finger till then :) x

Currently having mine resized now. Haven’t worn them since falling pregnant with baby #2 and he’s now 4 months old ☺️

I’ve just had mine done at 5m pp after my first baby my rings got very snug and they didn’t go down any further after 4m so I felt 5m was a safe time and I know there will be no more babies! We used a local independent jewellery that hand made my wedding jewellery

If it helps I haven’t been able to wear mine since October my baby was born in December and I can almost get them both back on now 🥹

Thanks everyone!
