I was so nervous about a hospital birth (my partner talked me out of a home birth but I'm glad he did in the end only due to a small complication post-delivery). I couldn't face climbing into the water once I arrived at 8cm but I've heard good things. I just wanted to say that the midwives looking after you are fantastic keeping you comfortable and at ease. Please don't feel anxious. Honestly, the best thing you can do is relax and let your body do what it needs to do. Your little one will be with you safe and sound before you know it š
I gave birth in Wrexham, unfortunately I didnāt have enough time for a water birth by the time I arrived at hospital, like I wanted but the MLU with the pools in were lovely and relaxing. After giving birth 3 separate midwives asked me if I would consider a home birth next time as I was an āideal candidateā, Iād ask your midwife if she has any info on it she can print out for you, because I think itās crazy they wanted to talk to me about a home birth after Iād given birth 𤣠but not to you when youāre asking about your impending birth š¤£š¤£
