Home Birth?

First time mum, I'm abit anxious about the whole birth side, everytime I ask midwife she says they dont discuss birth till 34 weeks. I'm interested in home/water birthday but no idea where the begin, I feel starting this whole thing with them 6 weeks before due is too late espexially for my planning happy OCD brain šŸ˜‚. Has anyone been through home birth locally or done water birth in Wrexham and could share their experience please?

I gave birth in Wrexham, unfortunately I didn’t have enough time for a water birth by the time I arrived at hospital, like I wanted but the MLU with the pools in were lovely and relaxing. After giving birth 3 separate midwives asked me if I would consider a home birth next time as I was an ā€œideal candidateā€, I’d ask your midwife if she has any info on it she can print out for you, because I think it’s crazy they wanted to talk to me about a home birth after I’d given birth 🤣 but not to you when you’re asking about your impending birth 🤣🤣

I was so nervous about a hospital birth (my partner talked me out of a home birth but I'm glad he did in the end only due to a small complication post-delivery). I couldn't face climbing into the water once I arrived at 8cm but I've heard good things. I just wanted to say that the midwives looking after you are fantastic keeping you comfortable and at ease. Please don't feel anxious. Honestly, the best thing you can do is relax and let your body do what it needs to do. Your little one will be with you safe and sound before you know it 😊
