Formula feeding

Whenever my LO feeds, he’s spitting so much milk out whilst he’s drinking to the point where the bib is absolutely soaked! He’s gaining weight, nappies are fine and getting hungry every 3-4 hours, so clearly he is taking in some milk. He’s 4 weeks. Anyone’s LO doing this? Can someone help me incase I am doing something wrong when feeding?

What’s his latch like?

How are you holding him? Is he arching and is it warm enough? Also check the flow sometimes the tete is too fast xx

Mines doing the same, we’ve come to the conclusion it may be the bottles and the teeth not been the right ones x

He’s latching on fine. I’m pacefeeding and sitting him up. He’s not arching and the milk is warm enough too :/

@Grace what bottles and teets did you change to? We’re using tommee tippee bottles with size 1 teets x

We had to swap from tommee tippees to mamm with teets 0 and 1 as my little girl had more coming out her mouth than drinking with the tommees, hope this helps 😊

We’re using the MAMM ones at the moment and just a generic brand from the breast feeding express pump kit x

Sounds like the teat flow is too fast I would try getting a slower teat which will probably help.

@Carrie ah I’m thinking of switching, my Lo is one month today. Do you use the 260ml bottles? Literally going to order now haha

Definitely try mam bottles, my baby was doing this and since switching from tommee tippee to mam she's done so much better. We did try the NUK too but she still struggled with them.
