Weight loss injections

Hi, I’m after advice. My whole life I have struggled with weight. No matter how much I exercise and diet it never works and then with my mental health I start comfort eating. I have an under active thyroid but the levels rnt low enough for treatment so that’s not helping. I’m a single mum to a 5&2 year old and I want to be healthy for my kids I want to be in their lives till I’m old. Iv been looking at weight loss injections but I wouldn’t know where to start I also have a fear of vomiting so I think that’s putting me off 😩 Diet wise I’m a healthy eater and I am active I work with kids I have to be active haha. I just have big portions otherwise I can’t stop eating through the day. I never feel full.

I did use them for a few weeks, I used Mounjaro and ordered it from MedExpress. It was simple to do! I just had to send off my pictures and they quickly sent out my first box. It was amazing, within a few weeks I was down over a stone but I ended up stopping over issues with my gallbladder. I never felt nauseous on it, if anything I felt the most energetic I've ever felt so I'd say go for it! But it affects everyone differently. You'll know which dose works best for you and don't chase suppression, when you find a good level between being able to eat good portions and losing weight whilst you still feel comfortable stick to that until you feel it's wearing off ❤️ Good luck with everything!!

Have you ever considered slimming world ? I think it's marvellous, I've lost almost 7st since last January 😅 and tbh apart from the nursery run I do t do any exercise 🤣 . I also comfort eat bit since sw that's changed remarkably! X

@Beth Thankyou! Hope you’re okay now. This is the one Iv been looking at Thankyou! ❤️

@Elle (i can't see waves) Iv done slimming world before and I lost a few stone then it just wouldn’t go down any more. Might have to look into it again Thankyou and well done! X

Thankyou, Yes sometimes our bodies just reach that stumble As we get used to what we doing etc and it can take a big impact to shift the lbs again.... Definitely look into it again 🩷

As someone who works in primary care I personally wouldn’t advice it. There has not been enough research into the jabs. We pointed out the amount of people who refused the covid jab as they didn’t know what was in it but those same people are now using these injections. It’s not just the lack of knowledge and research but it’s also a short term thing. It isn’t made to inject for rest of life and not enough research to show what will happen once you stop taking it. Obviously this is just my view but there is a reason that it should be prescribed x x

If you think that's the option for you go for it. But I agree with the comment above. You said that you never feel full. Have you tried incorporating more protein into your diet? And tracking your calories vs output? It's definitely a concept that has been stated repeatedly, but I absolutely stand by calories in vs calories out with activity X

I used them for a while. Lost over a stone and a half with no side effects. I have pcos and needed fertility treatment to have my little girl. I honestly believe the weight loss helped me get pregnant naturally this time around which was a miracle. I would do your research and go from there x

@Siobhan yeah Iv done plenty of research on it all, and seen that not much research is on it all. Thankyou. Just looking at options right now, I’m done with struggling xx

@Amanta yeah Iv increased protein before, ended up having migraines from too much but even now majority of foods I eat are protein. I use my Fitbit app to track calories in and out x

@Lauren Aww so happy for you! I will do Thankyou! X
