I also found when my lo was waking through the night because of the pain, it was easier and better for us both to give him a dose of calpol before he went to sleep with his bottle (only when it’s been bothering him through the day) as he’s sleeping anyway & it gives him a uninterrupted deep sleep! Hope this helps, it is just one of those things unfortunately and it’s hard for us to see as we feel helpless! I’m sure your doing a great job, plenty of love & cuddles is all she needs 🩷
Teething wipes have been a godsend they won't cure the severe teething grumpys when it really hurts but my little boy loves them. Baby nurofen might help with the gum inflammation as well
Teething powder worked really well for our eldest so we will fall back on that when our youngest gets to that stage
Nurofen is the only thing that works for us when it's really bad. We try cold teething gel first and put a cold teether on her gums straight from the fridge. If she's still in pain, though, we give medicine
I recommend the Ashton & parsons teething gel, my lo doesn’t like the applicator or continues to eat it, so I wash my hands and rub some on my finger instead then gently rub it on his gums whilst my finger acts as a teether. I find this works! Ashton & parsons also do a teething powder which is supposedly meant to work, I haven’t tried it yet. There are also some teething wipes too that have chamomile in them to soothe any gum ache, although my lo wasn’t a fan of a wipe being rubbed on his gums. Try freezing/cooling some teethers to help! I’ve found that using a frozen teether on his gums seconds before a feed soothes him a little bit to enable him to finish his full bottle! I’m currently on the countdown to use bonjela! It’s 5+ months but it’s the good stuff. I would suggest to keep her topped up with calpol now and then through the day, but if it’s making her more sleepy I’m not too sure….
