Sleep regression

My 17 month old wakes around 1am and is awake for hours! Is there anything that can be done to help with a sleep regression or is it just a case of riding it out? 😓

What is the timings for waking, naps and bedtime? Might be more of an issue with that than the sleep regression

I’m with you on this one. My daughter has been up around 3am for about a week now and is not just got used to her sleeping through the night. I feel dead.

@Natalie he’s always slept 730-630 with a 1.5 hr day nap. It’s only during sleep regressions that we have an issue. The 12 month one lasted forever😫 I’ve heard the 18 month ones are the worst

Yeah the 18 month one is rough! I did find as my daughter got older the timings did need tweaking for enough gap before bed though. Including one at this age where I had to change it by 30 mins which helped loads. You mentioned giving up and letting them play. Is that in a dark room, with toys?

@Taylor I feel like I’m going insane šŸ˜‚ he goes to bed fine and had 5 hrs sleep before he decides that’s enough šŸ˜… I usually try for 2 hrs before just giving up and letting him play till he’s tired. He was up at 2 today until 4 😫

@Natalie he does have quit a big gap before bed usually 6/7 hrs, it hasn’t been an issue before but do you think it should try and change it? How long did the sleep regression last for you?

What time does he nap at the moment? My daughters overnight was exactly the same as your sons. How do you deal with the overnight wakes? She's almost 3 now but irrc a week or two maybe.
