No but I didn't even know this was a thing and we are still trying to get over this flu bug! Off to get some today to hopefully help

Yeah I think I’m going to try to pick some up today. My girl seems to just have the cough, no other symptoms yet but it’s worse overnight so would like to help her somehow and had been using Calpol but then noticed it’s more for a sore throat vs a cough so might not really be helping!

Depending on how old your baby is we were recommended not to use that by a&e and just stick to traditional calpol

@yasmine that’s interesting as they have two different versions for babies and older kiddies. Only thing with Calpol is it doesn’t say it’s for a cough, so not sure if it is really helping. She doesn’t have any other symptoms, cold/flu/temp, just the cough.

I’ve used it! Although the pharmacy have told me before to just use Calpol as all cough medicine is basically Calpol just rebranded x

@Courtney wow! Ok good to know thanks x

Calpol and calcough are two different things. Calpol has paracetamol which is a painkiller and calcough glycerol which is basically sugar it won’t help with getting rid of the cough but will give a soothing relief to the throat.
