Me, but they recommended to get in contact with East Surrey, who agreed to come out if Croydon's HB service was suspended when I went into labour, which it was! So technically I was under the Croydon team, but a midwife from East Surrey came out to see me for the actual birth
Thank you so much ladies!
@Emma 🌱 I contacted east Surrey for my home birth in March and they said they couldn’t take me but it could depend on your address
I’d be interested to know as well. I put it down as my preference when I first self referred and it’s never been brought up since then. Going to ask at my 28 week appointment in a few weeks.
@Rachel hi I’ll message you as soon as I can . Definitely bring it up at your next appointments and keep pushing to say that’s the birth you want. If you don’t hear anything back raise it with PALS Croydon
Oh interested in people’s experience. I’m due early September and she hoped there’d be a team for me but I’d like to mentally prepare if I can’t because of staffing! East Surrey and st Helier both said no as I’m out of the catchment area so I’m surprised they said to contact east Surrey 😅
Hey ! I had mine baby was born 3/04 at home with Croydon hospital it was crazy journey. I could tell you more in private message or through text voice notes because it’s a long story. I had to fight to get it. Having a home birth was amazing though !
