A girl told me that her OB told her to drink Milo and have Milo cereal everyday because it’s heavily fortified with iron. I’m no doctor so take it with a grain of salt but I started have two large scoops of it with milk each day and I just got my 28 week bloods back and the midwife said she’s never seen such good iron levels in a pregnant woman 😂 and historically I’ve always been low on iron my entire life. I’ve also taken my prenatal/pregnancy support throughout the whole pregnancy which would have helped too (ovitae).

@Georgia calcium prevents iron absorption and milo is full of dangerous additives

@Georgia I mean I won’t say no to trying Milo 😂

A bio available form of iron is best or organic beef liver capsules. Taken with something with vit c (is needed for iron absorption). Take any iron away from dairy. Take them every second day and your body absobs it better. If you take iron everyday they body has so much free floating iron it wont avsob as much as it thinks its always available so it wont store it. The reason for this is having too much iron is bad for your body also so your body will absob better every second day as the next day its not getting a big dose etc. Also add drinking a cup of nettle tea and raspberry leaf tea every day

Yeah I’m not complaining 😂 and I was honestly shocked that my iron levels were so good at 28 weeks because like I said I have always been low on iron since I was a kid right through till now!

The Iron Sustain product from Armaforce is really good and I find keeps constipation to a minimum. Also in general I just eat heaps of fibrous stuff because you’re so compacted when pregnant 😆

Maltofer

Yep! My doctor told me about Maltofer also and it’s been super easy on my tummy, def recommend

My midwife mentioned that Maltofer doesn't "work" for pregnant women? And to try Ferro grand c ? Who knows!

Gosh what a jungle! It was my OB who recommended it to me. She did say that iron infusions are still necessary in super low cases though.
