@Kelli I legit had others say ever “lie” when spelt everly and I wanted to cry and cringe and I do think everly looks pretty and just more dainty/ feminine and well less annoying but it’s so common as everleigh I feel people may mispronounce it or make comments on purpose. I’m from Mass so maybe it’s just a masshole” issue lol
I have come to the conclusion that people will mispronounce/misspell anything. Most grown adults have met a Rachel, right? The spelling is pretty straightforward? Idk how many times I've gotten Rachelle. It baffles me.
Everleigh looks like Ever Lay Wb Harliegh
It will be extremely rare for someone to mispronounce Everly
I like Everly better, it's more simple and classic looking. Everleigh is still a legitimate spelling you can use if you prefer. I think the Leigh spelling is too much of a fad for me but its also extremely obnoxious that people find the leigh ending obnoxious.
I love the name Everleigh! The first time I ever heard of someone with that name, it was spelt Everleigh & I can't imagine it any other way! Looks nicer to me than Everly, but ultimately it's what YOU like best. Nobody should be so rude as to make comments about the special name you choose for your baby! If you prefer to spell it Everly, go for it, I can't imagine anyone pronouncing it wrong x
i prefer Everly - i don't think Everleigh is an obnoxious spelling, i just think Everly looks pretty and girly whereas Everleigh seems more clunky, despite it obvs being the same name, it's just a visual thing for me. 🤷🏻♂️ i honestly can't imagine anyone pronouncing Everly as Ever-Lie. there are names with "ly" endings - Lily, Emily and Molly etc that everyone knows how to pronounce, and Everly isn't any different. even a name like Emberly which is a little more unusual - i can't imagine anyone thinking it was pronounced Ember-Lie. 💕
Ty all! I guess when the time comes whichever spelling just seems fit at the time will do!
My niece is called Everli (not sure if this way was mentioned already, sorry)
I really love the spelling Everleigh. Just looks more beautiful and complete then Everly.
I don't know anyone that would pronounce Everly as Ever-Lie. That would be like seeing Kelly and pronouncing it as Kel-Lie. I will admit I did have ONE person in my 32 years of life look at my name and ask if it was pronounced Kel-Lie and I was baffled. Please don't spell it like Everleigh. The obsession with -leigh ending names is rather annoying.
