Are these spots viral or start of chicken pox?

He's fine in himself and no other symptoms yet.

Take him to the pediatrician asap. Was he vaccinated for varicella?

Looks like start of chicken pox. It’s an outbreak atm

@Noelle he's had his usual vaccinations. Don't think he's had that one

Do you have a pet that could have fleas? I’d start there looks like they could be flea bites.

If not I’d get them checked with his dr to be sure it’s not something serious

Looks like chickenpox to me. My son has them atm and it started like this too

@Kristie how long did it take for all the spots to come out?

@Riley we have 3 pets but none of them have fleas. I might take him doctors tomorrow

I’d say call the gp, has he had a cold recently? Also it looks like it could be start of chicken pox so keep out for cold symptoms and itching himself But it could also easily be a viral rash from a cold if he has had one recently but always better to be safe than sorry call the gp and get him looked at x

My LG has just gotten over chicken pox, she had a few random spots like this on random parts of her body, and then within a couple of days they started blistering and then more came out day by day over the course of about 5 days. Keep an eye and if you start seeing blisters it’ll be chicken pox. X

@Grace he hasn't had a cold recently no. But 2 weeks ago he had bad diarrhea for 4 days, not sure if it was a stomach bug or something. Another one of his teeth is coming through at the moment. Gonna try and get a doctors appointment x

They’re still coming! The first appeared on Thursday and it’s getting more each day. Luckily he’s not otherwise ill from it

@Kristie it's so weird how it can take a little while for the spots to come through. I thought they would come all together x

Yes this is how it started and then each morning there’s more! I also thought they’d come all at once! He’s actually also now hotted quite poorly since going to bed as he has them in his mouth too 😖

@Kristie aw bless him. Hope he feels better soon
