Cleaning bath toys

I clean the bathroom with flash or tesco bathroom cleaner once a week, I go over the bath toys for my baby, is that okay? Sometimes I'll use bleach or black mould spray if they have bits of mould on them, I find the jug goes a bit black. Worried I haven't done the right thing

As long as you give it a day or 2 in between cleaning them and your little one playing with them, just in case he tries to put them in his mouth, it's fine ☺️

Bleach is definitely a good shout for any mould. You could use sterilising solution/tablets instead if you're more comfortable with that, the active ingredient is exactly the same, but that's a more expensive solution. I'd just clean with plain bleach and rinse well afterwards. Just in case you aren't aware already, heat breaks down the sodium hypochlorite (active ingredient in bleach) much quicker, so use cold water when cleaning, then you can rinse with hot water afterwards

@Rachel thanks for this, I cleaned it at night and then little one had a bath the next evening though, is that okay?

@Katie thanks for this, I did use bleach then rinsed it but I didn't realise I should be using a small amount with lots of water I just used bleach then thoroughly rinised it afterwards. I'm quite worried now!

If you want to soak it then you'd generally dilute the bleach in cold water, but to wipe and rinse then using it undiluted is best. Don't worry, you haven't done anything wrong! 😊

@Katie thank you so much!
