I think cute for a little child but I can’t imagine an adult called flossie so I would use it as a nickname only. I know a girl called Florence and her nickname is flossie

I love flossie 🥲

Agree with @Sophie, it’s cute for a baby but maybe not my taste for an adult. Maybe use it as a nickname or see if she can have a full name you shorten to Flossie? Also reminds me of tooth flossing, I’m so sorry x🫣

I personally love it

Florence with the nickname flossie maybe? x

All I think of is dental floss when I say it and I don’t feel like it’s an adults name in my opinion.

In my mind it’s an old lady name because my Great Aunt was a Flossie! Only adult I ever met with it as a full legal name - I think most people go for a more ‘grown up’ name and then use the nickname. I never knew my Flossie as anything other than a twinkle eyed little old lady which suited her wonderfully, and I think it’s a lovely name for a toddler. I agree with everyone else though that it’s best to have a more sensible full name to use in adulthood. I always just think ‘can I imagine a shit hot lawyer/banker/doctor with this name?’ If no, you need a full name and not just a nickname. She might go into none of those things and be happy with Flossie her whole life, but it’s best to have a backup!

For me, it feels more like a nickname It's cute, whilst they are little will be cute but i personally wouldnt have wanted to be a teenager called Flossie

Don't think it would suit as they get older then even to shorten it would be floss which isn't great either, maybe better as a middle name so you can still have it but they aren't stuck with it
