I learned about it first from TikTok https://www.tiktok.com/t/ZP8jpUQ98/
Who’s ready to drink chalk water!
Never been so happy my child is allergic to dairy. 😂
Since food quality and product testing is my stomping ground, I will say this: 1) companies have their own policies for quality and safety testing their products. The FDA (in our case, CFIA) do oversight testing, which it looks like this is what will be paused, but individual companies will continue to test their own products. It's akin to those times when a health inspector comes in to do a snap inspection on your industrial kitchen. 2) the article points out that the lab was set to be decommissioned anyway, meaning that testing was intended to stop before the staff cuts. I guess all this realistically means is that there will be a pause in testing until the new lab is open, as opposed to a seamless transition. 3) the USDA and FDA have an overlap. It's possible this gap will be at least somewhat covered by the USDA until the new lab is open. 4) this really just emphasizes the complete lack of comprehension the current US administration has. Random budget and staff cuts have real consequences.
Perks of having a family in law that runs a dairy farm and hands out milk jugs to family members
@Dana 🦅♥️🤍💙 same!! 🥲
Said idc only because we aren’t milk drinkers over here!
I don’t really trust the fda in general. I’ve always done my own personal research and I always look into what I’m buying and drinking.
