I got tired of so many changes, so I just bought a bunch of bibs
For my newborns only after bath or blow outs. Both girls combined spit up maybe 10 times and only once was on clothing I’d just swap the burp cloth. Now once they’re eating if there’s something I can’t just wipe off their clothes I’ll change them but spilled water, strawberry stains, or dropped mac and cheese don’t bother me too much
We're now 4 months in but I accepted quite quickly she's a bib-baby! And bought lots more of them! It's now a rare occasion (touch wood) that we have to change a day time outfit more than once. Night time, apparently she doesn't need to spit up!
Depends on what it is and how much. If it’s milk and covers a 10p sized area then change as that will smell , if it’s dribble then nah let it be
Just use bibs
Bibs and muslin cloths. I haven’t got the energy or patience to be changing after every spit up
If it’s a large amount of spit up/sick then yes change straight away as it can irritate their skin. If it’s only a little bit then no. Bibs and burp cloths are really good for sicky babies. I went through about 5-7 clothes during the day as my daughter was very sicky and probably about 5 outfits a day as well (mainly baby grows)x
I change him every night at bath time / wash time, or if he pees himself throughout the day, but not at every spit up. I'd say one outfit change per day, sometimes two max.
