He's not forcing anyone to have children. 🙄 get a grip

@DC💙🩷💜 doesn’t an abortion ban force women to have children??🤣

@Olivia you can still get abortions ..I assume this post is about the talk of giving 5000$ to women who have babies Also Trump wasn't in office when Roe vs Wade was overturned

He need to focus on fixing the economy. Theres now a war for SAHM vs working mom 🤦🏽‍♀️it’s becoming popular to shame parents for HAVING to work because one income alone isn’t enough anymore so there’s that.

Just like the Gulf of America….. his priorities are shit.

Not that I'm defending him because this is an odd thing to be going after when what we really need is to fix inflation and cost of living, but to be completely fair, other countries do offer incentives for women to encourage them to have more children, particularly countries with declining fertility rates. That said, if this is something he truly wants to pursue, we as women need to speak up for what we want/need as mothers. Paid maternity leave that's longer than 6 weeks, affordable childcare, improvements to education systems, reducing cost of fertility treatments, etc. Use this idea to our advantage, I guess 🤷‍♀️

I don’t know a lot about this but is he also proposing help for those women? Affordable childcare, postpartum care, healthcare etc? I’m gonna guess the answer is no 🤯

if they want us to have more kids a $5k check is not gonna cut it. we need longer paid maternity leave, affordable childcare, affordable healthcare, etc

@DC💙🩷💜 no he wasn’t in office but he appointed the supreme court justices that made it happen during his first term

@Lucy The proposals include a variety of “incentives”… from offering cash “baby bonuses” to new mothers to granting special scholarship opportunities for married individuals. One idea suggests a one-time $5,000 “baby bonus” for each new mother, while another recommends allocating 30% of prestigious Fulbright scholarships to married applicants or parents. Symbolic honors like a “National Medal of Motherhood” for women with six or more children, expanded child tax credits, and access to IVF subsidies.

From my understanding everything that is going on in America regarding this topic is about increasing the white population within the country. The abortion bans are not trying to control women, they’re trying to control white women in particular.

Maybe trump should change into a female and push babies out..

@Izzie you can still have an abortion though if you live in a state that has restrictions be mad at your local governments

@DC💙🩷💜 i do live in a state with no abortion restrictions. but i care about the women in other places that aren’t able to have access, and trump’s actions 100% have an effect on that

@DC💙🩷💜 Trump definitely facilitated Roe Vs wade in his first term

@DC💙🩷💜 "You can still have abortion if..." Is a very awful start of sentence. So conditions are needed to have access to it. Basically only if you are privileged. Also Trump put 2 super conservative extremist at the supreme court when he was at the white house to make this shit happens.

@Jess if someone doesnt want to have a baby, they shouldn’t have one and they shouldn’t be blamed or judged.

Im not gonna go back and forth with yall. You can still have an abortion blame whoever you want, whatever helps you feel better. It was left to individual states, take it up with your community leaders

@DC💙🩷💜 this is untrue for over 20 million women in the US.

@DC💙🩷💜 This is about a much bigger picture. But you’re so wrapped up in your own little world that anything outside your bubble doesn’t seem to matter. Selfishness like that makes it impossible for you to understand the broader impact.

Im a very selfish person! You can use the block button love. Id do it but your too scared to use your profile for a post. Which im not really sure why when about 90 percent of this app has your same view? Silly to hide

@DC💙🩷💜 what would make me feel better is knowing that women everywhere have access to the healthcare they need. but clearly living with your head in the sand is what makes you feel better

I am worried the reason for this is racist and related to creating a white ethnostate

Indiana, North Dakota, Oklahoma, and South Carolina have introduced bills that would include abortion as homicide. In Oklahoma, the language included anyone giving advice or encouraging a person to get an abortion. The Oklahoma bill was co-authored by the Republican state senators Dusty Deevers and Warren Hamilton. Women in states where it is legal can help their friends in states it isn't legal... for now. That can change.

@DC💙🩷💜 it’s called choosing how to engage. And hey! im glad you admit you’re selfish, at least we agree on something.

This is what finally made you draw the line? Not his 100000 terrible ideas previously, the multiple felons or the whole playbook he put out before getting elected that said he was going to do all this shit??

@Victoria~ 🎯🎯🎯

@Jess population crisis?! Where?! This world is FULL. It’s just not full of the type of people he wants.

I want families to be able to have as many kids as they can love and care for, and finances not be the only limiting factor

For pete’s sake, all he said was that a $5,000 baby bonus to help the declining U.S. birth rate “sounds like a good idea.” The administration is also looking at funding for education programs for women and dedicating a certain percentage of Fulbright scholarships to those who are married or have children. How scary. 🙄

@Haley This administration’s budget cuts could freeze the Fulbright program. It’s already hurt U.S. students in foreign countries.

@Haley we don’t need to up the birthrate?! That’s an insane take. And incentivizing people to get pregnant while REMOVING abortion protections and tanking ALL healthcare research initiatives that relate to pregnancy, women, and women’s health, is batshit

The Handmaids Tail. If you havent seen it yet, do, and you will a lot of parralels. Its scary!

@Olivia doesn’t it also have the opposite effect. That some women are worried about having babies incase something happens and they need emergency healthcare.

@Karen huh ?? No 🤣 If our acsess to abortions are band women are forced to have children, they didn’t want to have ?? It’s really simple tbh Unfortunately, pregnancies accidentally happened all of the time If anything we’re going to see an increase of illegal and performed abortions, we’ve been there before , not unwanted children 🥴

Can't support the economy on a declining birth rate and all the boomers are going into assisted living too

If a lot of women didn’t have traumatic pregnancies and birth stories we just might but some drs and specialist and ultrasound techs just don’t care anymore. For me it’s a no more I couldn’t imagine going through any of this again!
