38 weeks and have a cold sore

I've been sick for about 2 weeks now. I've been doing everything I can, resting, drinking plenty of fluids, etc. But I don't seem to be getting better. About 4 days ago I noticed a cold sore/fever blister on my top lip. I've gotten them before pregnancy. But it's getting worse and has now clustered to my bottom lip as well. I'm terrified I'll still have it during labour and won't be able to kiss my baby 😔did anyone also experience this, so close to their due date? And any recommendations to get it to heal faster?

Cornstarch will help dry up the blisters. But you should be on an antiviral right now.

Typically, when you have HSV one or two, they will put you on an antiviral at around 36 weeks as a prophylaxis. I would call your OB and have them put in a script ASAP.

Buy abreva please and get rid of it before labor. My mom broke out when she had me and passed it on to me 😭. I’ve had them constantly growing up. I literally broke out and had 5 of them when I had the flu this past December. Save your child 😩 (yes I’m dramatic lol)

@Nicole thanks! Whew yes my OB gave me an antiviral and it has helped tremendously! They're almost gone!

@Kovashya yes that's exactly why I'm freaking out. Trying to get rid of them before he's here. Cause I'm pretty my mom gave them to me when I was born, cause I've had them since I was a kid. So yeah not dramatic at all. I'm feeling the same way
