Babymoon - help!

My husband and I have managed to get 2 weeks off work next week - I’ll be 24 weeks then, and we’ve been debating going on a babymoon for a while.. we were thinking of somewhere long haul because we’ve got a bit of time. I’ve been anxious about going to places where I don’t need travel vaccines, but now also worried about zika/dengue/mosquito-related illnesses 😭 we were considering Mauritius, South Korea or Taiwan, but feel like I’m going crazy worrying about catching something! Does anyone have any advice/thoughts about where’s safe to travel? Thanks 🩷

If this is your first I would do the trip you both have always wanted to do that would be difficult or very different to do with kids with you. Will be a while before get chance to do again!

Consider how long you'll be on the plane for too, and how mobile you'll realistically be when you're there. I would love to visit south east Asia again but I wouldn't be going pregnant as I know I wouldn't be able to explore in the way I want, and I remember being anxious enough about dengue, etc, without being pregnant!! Same consideration last time when I was looking at New York, but realistically I wouldn't have been able to do much walking. We're sticking closer to home and going to Italy for a much more mellow experience.

I’ve been to Mauritius whilst around 20 weeks pregnant a few years ago. It was fine. I also don’t think there’s Zika etc in Mauritius. Definitely go if you have the opportunity
