Somethings still not quite right

My son (9 months) was finally diagnosed with reflux at 8 weeks old after fighting with the doctors and has been on omeprazole ever since and sees a hospital paediatrician every couple of months. Since being on omeprazole he’s stopped being sick but struggled at night time. I’ve tried to explain this to the paediatrician but she doesn’t listen. He wakes up at least 3/4 times a night and it’s been getting worse the last few weeks. He’ll wake up arching his back, going stiff as a rock and screaming uncontrollably and making an odd gurgling noise. Something just hasn’t felt right. Has anyone else gone through similar?
