First Time Pregnant Mom with PCOS

Hello ladies, I recently found out I’m pregnant, confirmed with blood test. Serum hCG is 23,037. I haven’t got my first OB appointment yet but I wanted to know if you moms with PCOS continued taking Metformin throughout pregnancy or what other meds/supplements did you take while pregnant?

Hey just wonder did you do anything to get pregnant or did it happen naturally and I’ve heard the Dr has you keep taking them! But ween you off of them as you go I would ask your Dr

I was told to stop taking metformin.

@Zara Thank you 💜 Did they advise you to take anything though? I’m really concerned for the increased risk of miscarrying for pcos women so I’m just curious. I’m only like 7weeks so I’m not even close to safe yet ..

I stopped once I got a positive

My doctor wouldn’t see me until 12 weeks but if your not already start taking prenatals I had to take b12 vitamin d and calcium as well

@Terri Thank you so much! And I have Kasier and it seems like I’m going to be waiting a little for an appointment as well smh! Did they consider you high risk, did you have extra screenings or ultrasounds ?

@Skye they only advised me to take vitamin d and folic acid. I was really worried about stopping as well but I'm now 21+ 4 weeks and everything is looking good.
