This worked for me between my kids to get down to my pre-baby weight and now motivated to get back to that after having my second. Started 19 March at 142 pounds and now weigh 134.8 as of this AM
How does my fitness pal work does it calculate the calories for you? Xxx
You scan barcodes for most foods and it pulls all the data of that product. You need a scale as well, but I only bother the first few days and then I’m pretty confident in guessing how many grams. I keep my meals pretty similar for breakfast and lunch (usually porridge in the morning with fruit) or something like scrambled eggs so I can just select from previous days data. Really easy to use and I just use the free version
Some things like an Apple, I just put in large Apple, small banana etc
Okay thank you I’ll give that a try x
All great advice from others. I would say focus on building and maintaining good habits. Not stressing about making your good days perfect, instead put that energy into making your not so great days better. Like when you have had a bad night sleep and reach for chocolate/crisps etc, try not to let it spiral into eating a whole family bag or the mindset of starting again next week. Just carry on with your day, try to get out on a walk as we have started to get some nice weather. X
My fitness pal app, paired with an Apple Watch (or similar) is the only thing that works for me. Fitness pal is super easy to count calories as just scan barcodes. I just do breakfast and lunch and don’t worry about dinner. I’ve also started boiling eggs at the start of the week and that’s one of my main snacks (sometimes have them as a key part of my lunch). Then I also just have a fitness goal of hitting 460kcals minimum but usually for 500. I sometimes jump rope for 10-15 minutes in the morning and 10-15 minutes in the evening doing things like squats, jump rope, or rowing machine we’ve got in the garage. It’s all pretty brainless stuff I don’t have to think about and as I break it up, it’s easy to get motivated for a tiny amount of time. Often im active enough in the day I hit 460 without any workouts, so will skip that.
