I actually haven’t sterilised my son’s bottles for about 5 months. He turns 11 months on Friday & we’ve had one sickness bug (that we’re currently getting over from nursery) but I preferred him being exposed to germs because we live with dogs & it seemed pointless to me to sterilise his bottles when, when he moves about he’ll have dog hair all over him etc anyway! I do think it’s “recommended” until they’re 1 but it’s whatever you’re comfortable with as the parent 🤍

Anything that comes into contact with formula needs to be sterile but if you're transitioning off formula then sterilising won't be necessary

The sterilising is to kill germs in formula I’ve been wondering too though if still need to after 1

Is it not when they hit 1 u dnt have to give formula milk thou

I guess you don’t suddenly stop giving formula at 1, you phase it out

I stopped sterilising at around 10 months and stopped formula and on to whole milk the day of his birthday did it with my first as well xx
