Ah thanks Paige, really appreciate it. I haven't bled, but I have had a missed miscarriage before so I think the meds would stop me from bleeding anyway. I had lots of symptoms like really bad nausea earlier this week and now all of that has stopped. So then seeing the clearblue result as well has got me worried. But it's useful to know they aren't always accurate! I will try to stay calm. This journey is such a mental roller coaster!
Honestly I get it I’ve had 2 mmc & a chemical now I’m 4 weeks and I’m worried at every cramp twinge so I totally understand how u feel . I stopped testing from today because I was driving myself crazy . I’m trying to tell myself what will be will be I cant stop it either way and I just have to eat healthy drink water and do the bits I can do to help 🩷
The tests arent inaccurate but HCG trends different in each pregnancy, you could of been on the low end for the reading to be 2-3 and just needs a little time to jump to 1800miU-2000miU for the 3 weeks +.. The time of day makes a huge difference too! I know so many women that got better positives later morning or afternoon, which were always taught to use first morning pee.. but I debunked this. My dye stealers were 11am onwards... Congratulations and I hope you get the 3+ soon!.. I'd wait another 24/48hrs xxx 💖
I had that at about 5+4 too and like you I worried. So I went to do a blood test and my HCG was 10,000 IU. The clearblue test would still show 2-3 despite the threshold for 3+ being 2,700. I am not the only one this happened to, so please don’t let it worry you. It’s most likely the test messing up, and your pregnancy is probably progressing just fine xx
Also I personally I stopped testing after that. It was causing more anxiety than reassurance and I didn’t want to give clearblue more of my money given the stress their test caused me and many others. These weeks tests are actually not allowed in the US market because of their inaccuracy!
@Annia that's mental! Had to comment as it's like the hook effect in reverse! I realise it's 2,700, but i got mine around 2000... So yeah clearblue can be tricky sometimes can't it.. congratulations! Xx
Thanks so much everyone for responding, I feel a bit less anxious. I can't believe the weeks tests are banned in the States but sold here if that is the case 😯 I think I will stop testing too and try to keep calm until I have a scan (although I do have two normal clearblue tests left, might be tempted to use them 🙈). Thank you 💓
GPs and Gyne in the UK are totally against them too.. Especially as urine can be so unpredictable and each HCG trends differently 💖 It might be worth asking your clinic for serial betas to put your mind at ease, but I found this stressful 🤣.. Hope it all goes well for you x
@Dani yes I know, the variation in those tests results is wild! And thank you 🥰
Have you had HCG bloods done? If you’re worried I would go to the early pregnancy unit, especially with a history of loss, they will be able to scan you for extra reassurance 🫶🏻❤️
@Laura thanks Laura, my clinic don't do HCG bloods for some reason, but have booked me in for an earlier scan so fingers crossed 🤞🏻
Have you bled ? Why do u think you have miscarried ? I personally don’t use these test because only about 10% of them show 3+ at the right time and make us worry . Ive seen a lot of post saying they didn’t get there’s until 6/7 weeks . If you’ve not bled or got really bad pains ect I wouldn’t worry babe try relax 🩷
