Vaccinations

My baby is nearly 5 weeks old, I'm a first time mum and wondering when baby has first vaccinations. Is it 6-8 weeks old? Do I book it in with his doctors or will they contact me?

I think the health visitor told me the docs would contact me and the vaccinations are at 8 weeks if I remembered right although my brain is a bit fried so could be wrong

When my daughter that age I got letter from doctors saying when they were due and then I rang up booked it. Could ring doctors and asked.

It’s 8, 12 then 16. If you haven’t already ring your doctors and ask to register your baby there and then you can book the vaccinations in. All doctors are different mine sent a letter with an appointment and asked me to fill a registration form out however my midwife said this is not usually the case and you have to call and sort it all.

I had to go into the doctors to register them first (usually takes around 48hrs to be done) and then phoned them to make the appointment. Usually around 8 weeks now and they do yours and baby 6 week checks then as well.
